Daily Companion PWA for seniors with short-term memory challenges
MyDay is a Progressive Web App (PWA) designed as a cognitive aid for seniors experiencing short-term memory challenges. The application provides a gentle, supportive daily companion that helps users stay oriented, complete tasks, and maintain connection with caregivers and loved ones.
Built with a calming interface and multi-tenant architecture, MyDay supports task reminders, activity tracking, rest-state awareness, and caregiver coordination. It integrates with the KervinApps telemetry layer for portfolio-wide analytics.
The current release, v2.4, adds a guided caregiver setup wizard, a second check-in style, a proper end-of-day summary, and photo editing from the admin Gallery tab.

A guided onboarding flow lets caregivers pick the care areas that matter (nutrition, physical, social, medical and more) and start from a preset task catalog written in warm, reassuring language. The wizard can be re-run later to append new tasks without starting over.
Caregivers choose between the classic one-question-at-a-time flow and Scroll Mode, a vertical list of large answer cards that collapse with a green check as each one is saved and scroll to the next automatically.
A clear Finish Day button closes out the day with a real summary of what was done. Days left open past midnight finish themselves, and confirmations use a calm in-app dialog instead of browser pop-ups.
Caregivers set up real-world rewards such as lunch out with a grandchild. When they're earned, the loved one sees a celebration screen with their stats and confirms with a thumbs up once it has happened.
Scanned letters and drawings arrive as a phone-friendly "Mom Mail" email with images resized to read well. Daily pulse and alert reports use a mobile card layout with a large one-tap call button.
The admin Gallery tab shows every active choice with its photo or emoji, and caregivers can add or remove options right there.
One switch pauses a household's check-ins and shows a warm "taking a little break" screen, with the emergency contact bar still visible. All data is kept for when the break ends.
Installable as a home-screen app with service worker support. Answers given offline are queued and sent later, and the app shows when something is still waiting to sync. Optimized for mobile and tablet use.
